every 2 minutes a child is being prepared
for sexual exploitation

Please be aware that this is not a problem limited to places we have never been or may never go to. Human Trafficking is in OUR BACKYARDS. I was shocked to see how many incidents had happened very near me (Philadelphia, PA!) and very recently. Reality is here www.slaverymap.org

HOW YOU CAN HELP

1. Wear Orange on the 21st of each month.
- Orange is the color Not for sale uses to signify its works against slavery.
-The 21st of each month A21 campaign asks us to Fast and pray.. hold in
memory.... do somthing! For these victims.
-We will combine these two things and wear orange on the 21st of every month
to recognize the cause.

2. Create a design to be sold with profits going to the cause

3. Join the public awareness efforts! - Host an awareness event at your club or venue.
- Write an article or a blog to raise awareness of the efforts we are making in
sl.
- Host a fashion show, live music venue, party or other event to raise
awareness and funds.
-Create a you tube or SL video to educate people.

I've decided to team up with the wonderful designer of Lurve bridal gowns.. her stuff is just gorgeous.. and we need to see more new designer finds! After the show a formal dance Hosted by DJ Seth Newman will be held in the bridal gathering area of my store. A brand new Free companion ceremony 8 layer veil that has believe it or not only 2 attachment points!!!!! WEAR EARINGS hehe...... Veil is sculpt and flexi and has talendar flowers. This veil is like no other, as i had the script made special for it :) The veil script requires that another avatar click the veil and a permission box will come up ONLY once for permission. ... then the clicker can remove the layers.... it is perfect :) I hope you like...... I also have a much more elaborate veil available but it is 7 points attached.... I will be creating MORE :)

In Honor of the Grand Re-Opening and fashion show I have decided to do something totally new (for me)! A photo contest! YAY!
So here are the rules:

Submission may be done from May 14- May 23 2009
Winner will be drawn no later than May 30.

1. CREATE a FOLDER labeled "Gracie photo contest.. "your name" "

2. Submit up to 2 (two), no more, photos taken wearing a Gracie Outfit from a Current Line

3. You may add any accessories or styling you like, but the main outfit must be a bridal/formal or casual from the first or second floor of the main store. (discount basement clothing is not current line and will not qualify... I want to use the shot in an ad so it needs to be current) Please be creative, I adore extremely avante garde looks as well as fresh and light.....

4. Post processing of the photo is acceptable

5. If you do not take the photo yourself please get a nc from the photographer authorizing unrestricted use of the photo and place it in the folder.

6. Place a notecard with your name, the photographer name (if not yourself) and anything else you want to say.... into the folder you created in (1). Add your photo(s) and any photographer release into the same folder (1).

7. Make sure your photos are full perms

8. Drop the folder on Grace Winnfield.

First Place:

-- A full refund of what you paid for the item used in the shot chosen.
--Your choice of 8 items from the store.
--The placement of your photo in a magazine advertizement in Vain Inc. Magazine.

After going thru many of my prim skirts I have been redoing several to improve, flow, texture, and quality of them... especially given the metaverses ability to bork textures seriously with upgrades..... grrrr. I am really happy with the way this one turned out.. but i also know some ofyou love it the way it was... so it includes both the old skirt and this new one, shown. I am sure you will be pleased with the swish and flow.... You can find it in the bridal store, though it is perfectly appropriate for other occassions.

I'm really hoping this one will not go forgotten.... I think i stewed over this design for about 8 months...... My original vision was to make an interpretation of the brocade highly structured outfit worn by Jennifer Connely in the not so old Balenciaga ads i saw in magazines... This one is not nearly as colorful.. and the design definitely is only an interpretation.. but i seriously think this one is more wearable.... I would adore seeing someone mix this up with some stuff and make it more colorful with accessories..... as always mod prim/no copy/ YES TRANSFER. I tell you i hate the no trans thing.... shopping is not fun anymore to get gifts... and i cant pass my old stuff to newbs.. instead i am hitting delete... **gulps**
